Born and raised in in Surbiton, he was the oldest son of a locksmith. His father raised his three children in a disciplined way. From this punctuality and accuracy was learned.

John left his home at the age of 18 and moved to the city center. He started enjoying his job as a bartender, but was also studying journalism. Later on he started taking various writing jobs and this is still what he is doing.
